2006-03-18 [xido]: Good, then we're not breaking any rules, and my contest is still happy. x.o) ;P I'm sure we're all mature enough to handle it. It is fair for everyone. I am being absolutely scrutinizing in the people I will be having as judges. The application I am having them fill out will prove to me whether they can adequately critique artwork, and maintain a professional view of the pieces they are judging, even if it is their own. The poll vote categories will deflect any other doubts about rigging the winners votes. At least 3 of the 6 winners will be ET-chosen in a true contest format. The other three will suffer much more scrutiny by our honest and fair judges.

2006-08-16 [xido]: A panel of judges is being created, and who will remain anonymous except by voluntary output, and who will judge the remaining three categories: Best Background, Best of Engineering/Architecture/Sculpture, and Design of Elven Refinement and Concept.

These judges, including myself, will vote on these categories outside of others' knowledge, and when the votes are tallied and cleared of tie-breakers, I will announce the finalists.

All finalists will be asked if they are willing and able to participate in the final round of the project, where all finalists will have an opportunity to work as an Art Project Team, and where a final image will be created to showcase on the ORP page, Elftown Water Fountain. Until a final image is made in full, the winner of the Best of Show category will be placed on the page. Cross your fingers, and advertise the contest polls, everyone!

Also, a message will be sent soon, providing all entrants with contestant badges, banners, and a hearty thank you for taking part in this contest.

2006-10-02 [xido]: Wow! I just closed the polled voting for the first three categories, and it was a home run score for [Mom]'s fountain design. There was some good competition for Best Use of Color, and all the entries were fun and creative. I am really happy with the contest, and glad that everyone could participate as well.

Winners and finalists will be announced within the coming week, and awarded badges. Based on the judging so far, I am awaiting one more judge's input for those categories.
